Client Experiences

What's it like to engage this work -and the shifts that follow.

D. Gupta

Words aren't enough to express what working with Randé over the past 2 years has done for me. Her ability to hold space is deep.
She feels like a friend but also knows how to steer you forward towards what you might desire but are afraid to say.

She shares resources for trying out things. She doesn't seem afraid of any subject matter. Her insights are deep, caring and challenge you to step into the unknown knowing you have support, in her.

She is funny and has a great sense of humor. She has keen observation and I know she cares deeply for the clients she works with. As I said, words can't do justice. I feel lucky to have found her.

I have found my ongoing partnership with Randé to be an exceptionally helpful and rewarding experience that has facilitated my personal growth and improvement in mental health, particularly in regard to my long-term partnership, family dysfunction, spiritual praxis, career, and vocational aspirations.

Throughout our work together, she has consistently demonstrated her dedication to my best interests and I hold her counsel in high regard, as it is often informed by her own lived experiences.

I wholeheartedly recommend her as a therapist, as I trust her to provide sound and real advice to all whose hearts are open.

I came to Randé based on the recommendation of a trusted friend. My partnership which is the most important thing in my life and the greatest gift this lifetime has ever given me was hanging on by a thread. I had used all the tools that I knew how to use and was still coming up short.  I had never worked with a therapist and was highly skeptical because I thought Randé would automatically side with my wife as I thought I was the one creating the problems in our partnership.  Into the waters we waded and Randé was there every step of the way with intimate listening, reflection and understanding. She was instrumental in helping us navigate into the death of our old relationship so that we could be born again.  Anytime anyone is looking for help I am so quick to not only recommend therapy but one person specifically and that person is Randé.  Thank you Randé for everything and for all of the cosmic ripples you helped me clean up in my life. - A. You showed me how to objectively, compassionately, and accountably see and hold myself so that I could rest in my self knowing, cultivate my self trust, and as a result cultivate true intrinsic self love. You literally helped me re-build my foundational relationship with myself and as a result, you gave me the blueprint to taking my power back in places I had given it away, to aligning myself away from who I was due to survival and wounding into and who I could now be due to successfully surviving and understanding what my wounds had to teach me. You set me on a path to truly be able to stop several generational cycles with in my family at my blood line and as a result set my family as a whole on a path to intergenerational healing and repair. As a black, trans, blue collar, artist, organizer, and community builder you gave me the necessary courage to be able to have a set of beliefs and values that I also commit to practicing in my life day in and day out.

Randé Dorn is an exceptional therapist! She guides me through the deep grief of losing my dad and supports me in my journey as a newlywed and creative artist. Her encouragement helps me face hard truths with strength and clarity. She brings a unique lightness, showing me how to “play” with life’s choices while honoring my reality. As a Black woman in America, her insight has been invaluable. I’m deeply & eternally grateful for her wisdom, compassion, and transformative support. #HighlyRecommend

Review shared after session 34 with Randé

Peng Hsu

Randé has been my therapist for the past three years. I met her during one of the hardest times in my graduate school, where I studied theater. Working with her is a life-changing experience, and it forever transforms my relationship with myself, my loved ones, and my creative process.

As an international student, therapy was hardly an option for me because of language differences. Adding on, some of my past experiences with therapy weren't positive or helpful, I used to think that I wouldn't do it again. Then, I walked into Randé's office.

Starting from our first session, Randé is always full of brilliant humor, keen insight, and warm compassion. Surprisingly, language is never a problem. Even though many nuances wouldn't be conveyed as smoothly as if I can have this conversation in my mother tongue, we always find ways and fun working within idea and emotion translations. I think this dynamic happens because of how curious, creative and observative Randé is. I still remembered many of her witty lines that both challenge and tickle my heart. And by saying tickle, I am being polite, because most of the time I honestly LMAO. I LMAO at myself, the situation I was in, and even the pain itself. I learn from our sessions the ability to always keep humor at close. Humor wiggles in elegance and it creates space to imagine a new narrative for the broken heart.

I am lucky to have met and worked with Randé.
